The SOBR unit uses the multicam pattern often on their uniform. I used it today for the first time, in -6C and it didn’t disappoint. The padded knees kept me from freezing when crouching down. Also it has a lot of pocket space, and since I don’t have any drop pouch on the Smersh vest, I used the pockets on the thighs instead. The uniform itself is made from a multicam patterned ripstop fabric and seems super strong. The kneepads are easily adjustable and for a Crye copy this is some high end gear.
I also got to use the Smersh today and wow did it deliver! Light weight, room for 8 mags, 4 grenades And a lot more in the buttpack. Got in the speedloader, some snacks, ammo and a chechenka in case I would freeze. It almost didn’t soak up any water which is good or I would’ve started freezing . Also I wore a shemagh for protecting my neck and prevent getting sick. In my pistol holster I had a Glock 17, and of course my beloved VFC AK105 which ran perfectly even in this cold weather.
All in all a very good vest, and an extremely durable and solid uniform. This MC pattern have more greens so it fits better in the Norwegian forest contra the British one, Also it got whites so it gave me good camouflage in the snow today!
I ordered this from Grey Shop on a saturday late at night, and received it after 4 working days. That is fast considering the actual trip is Moscow-Oslo-Fauske-Bodø (which is FAR). So I must say I am very happy with the service.
